The NBA isn't the only hoops hotspot where amazing happens as this footage below from a U.S. high school game would attest to.

The clip features high school senior Hafid Yassin from Chief Sealth International High School in Seattle scoring two of his 39 points against neighboring school, Garfield High. And oh, did we mention that those two points came via an IMPOSSIBLE DUNK:

Holy balls of Vince Carter!

Off an alley-oop pass no less, the 6-foot-5 guard jumped so high that his head went a foot over the rim, with his chin nearly getting a vicious uppercut from the iron circle. Some are saying that he vaulted off the opponent's shoulder to get extra inches, but that takes little away from the fact that this was an example of athleticism, of literally the highest order.

His team lost the game, 96-55, but at least Yassin's got the town criers of Internet hoops anointing this dunk as the forerunner for best of the year
