Kevin Love has been criticized for supposedly changing his game when he joined LeBron James and Kyrie Irving in Cleveland.

Once a formidable inside presence, Love now spends most of his time beyond the arc, much like most of the power forwards in modern-day basketball.

His otherworldly performance earlier today explains why.

In a game against the Portland Trail Blazers, the All-Star scored the second most points in a quarter in NBA history, after shooting the lights out from three-point territory (8 of 10). His 34 points were three short of Klay Thompson's record set in 2015 against the Sacramento Kings.

The only thing more entertaining than the scoring binge itself was the commentators scrambling for words to describe what just happened.

Love eventually cooled off and finished with 40, but more importantly, led the Cavaliers to a 137-125 win.
