It was hands down the goriest freak accident in collegiate hoops history—Ware's hurried attempt at contesting a three-pointer resulted in an awkward landing that caused his lower right leg to rotate and torque down, with his shin bone puncturing through his skin. Teammates and opponents froze in disbelief; friends and fans were in tears; and the world immediately took notice. We'll never look at basketball the same way again.
