Alab Pilipinas will finally get some much needed help after enlisting two-time UAAP MVP Kiefer Ravena for the Asean Basketball League.

Head coach Mac Cuan confirmed the development to SPIN.ph, after Ravena ended his stint with the Mighty Sports in Dubai. He wasn't able to play in his team's final game due to a hand injury, which Cuan said will heal up before the ex-King Eagle starts working out with Alab.

Ravena, who reportedly could suit up "towards the end of the eliminations," will be a welcome addition to the reeling squad that already banners Bobby Ray Parks, Jr. (shoulder injury) and Fil-Am Lawrence Domingo, as well as other local stalwarts.

So what exactly will 'The Phenom' bring to the table?

Experience

Aside from making it to the Gilas Pilipinas pool for the 2016 FIBA Olympic qualifiers, Ravena has had some burn as developmental player for the Texas Legends, the NBA D-League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks.

Shooting

The spitfire guard has the ability to get hot from all cylinders. And when we say hot, we mean H-O-T.

Clutch gene

Ravena's once-in-a-generation mix of basketball skills and overall court aggressiveness enables him to come up big in the game's pressure-packed moments.

Fearlessness

Like his father Bong, Kiefer possesses a kind of boldness when getting to the rim. He's always confident but never cocky.

Just ask Karim Abdul.
