Polish challenger Arthur Szpilka got a taste of the power of heavyweight champ, Deontay Wilder, who is undefeated in 36 fights with 35 KOs.

WBC World Heavyweight champ Deontay Wilder successfully defended his title last January 16 (U.S. time) in Brooklyn, New York. The 30-year-old American knocked out Polish contender Arthur Szpilka in the ninth round with a chopping right hand counter, and remained undefeated in 36 fights with 35 of his wins coming by knockout.

The finishing blow happened at the 2:24 mark of the ninth round, after what had been a bruising night for both champ and challenger. ESPN described it as a "dogfight" that eventually ended "with a punch that very well could stand up for the next 11 months as the Knockout of the Year."


Imagine an elephant ramming another elephant, and you get an idea of the devastation that a legitimate heavyweight fighter's punch can inflict. In Wilder's case, you don't have to imagine; his resumé speaks for itself.
