With the Golden State Warriors closing out the NBA Finals via a decisive 105-97 Game 6 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James look stumped as he walked towards the locker room as MVP Steph Curry, 2015 NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala, and the rest of the Dubs celebrate on the his homefloor.

Once again, the best basketball player in the world failed to deliver a championship to his beloved, title-hungry city.

After arguably playing the best basketball of his life during the first five games of the series, putting up unworldly numbers one game after another, James looked lost most of the must-win Game 6. And don't let his near-triple double (32 points, 18 boards, and nine dimes) statline fool you, because he also missed 20 out of his 33 shots, bricked half of his free throw attempts (four of eight), committed six turnovers, and played reluctant basketball almost all game long—as if he's not the same unstoppable athlete who had been demolishing his defenders.

Cleveland needed their star to show up and dominate, not to pass up and orchestrate. For some, it might have looked like it was 2007 all over again.

Despite his spectacular showing in this series (35.8 ppg, 13.3 rpg, 8.8 apg, in 45.8 minutes per contest), LBJ's failed quest for an NBA championship once again made him social media's favorite whipping boy. We sift through these funny albeit really cruel works of Internet trolls to give you the best ones below!

We're putting our money on the bank on this one (pun absolutely intended)

Will this loss lead to another "return"?

Maybe 'Bron's pre-game speech wasn't that good enough?

With the time off, maybe James can ask everybody's his buddy Drake about putting up a mixtape. (Or maybe even teammate Iman Shumpert, if the Cavs decide to keep him.)

Well, he was that close.

This may be the worst-selling jersey ever.
