Two weeks before his scheduled fight against former URCC champion Andrew Benibe, Fil-Am MMA fighter Mark Striegl should be one who can't be bothered.

But despite FHM basically crashing his workout, the man they call 'Mugen' in the Octagon was gracious enough to talk about his origins in mixed martial arts, and the weird reason he got into the sport.

"Pride Fighting Championships, at the time, was the biggest promotion in the world," said Striegl. "It was bigger than UFC at the time. Pride FC was Japan's local show and seeing the fighters on TV and going out and seeing them on the street, that had an effect on me, and it made me want to compete in mixed martial arts and ultimately, get to where they are."

Get to know more about Striegl in this video below:

We're all rooting for Mugen in URCC 30 on August 12 at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum
