Tabuena, who is ranked third on the Asian Tour Order of Merit, shows off his swing in the major golf championship held at the Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania, which will run until Sunday, June 19.
"I am still in shock. This will be my first major and I just can't wait to have fun next week. I am really happy with the way I am playing now," he was quoted in a previous interview with AsianTour.com.
The young pro also had the chance to rub elbows with golf greats Rory McIlroy and Phil Mickelson recently. "He (McIlroy) told me to just stay below the hole and I'll be fine," Talbuena shared to the Inquirer.
Miguel just won his first Asian Tour title at the Philippine Open last December, tied for fourth at the SMBC Singapore Open, and finished second at the Maybank Championship Malaysia. He is looking to put a bow on his series of accolades by hopefully donning the flag's colors at the Rio 2016 Olympics this August.
