The basketball gods have spoken—here is the official order of lottery picks for the upcoming NBA draft:

The Boston Celtics, a team that is about to face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals, couldn't thank the Brooklyn Nets more for the fortuitous gift of a top pick—the latter's consequence of gambling on [washed-up versions of] Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett in 2013.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers can finally pursue Lonzo Ball after landing the runner-up spot, which also means that they get to keep their selection by not drawing fourth overall or lower. The Sacramento Kings actually rounded out the Top 3, but had to give up their berth to the Philadephia 76ers owing to a previous deal.

The draft lottery may have had its share winners and losers, but if there is one clear victor, it was the Internet, seeing that netizens reacted to the highly anticipated proceedings with a shitload of awesomeness.

Many still can't fathom the enviable luck of top-seeded Celtics

Lakers fans are thrilled with the prospect of snagging either Markelle Fultz, Ball, or De'Aaron Fox

The Philly faithful, despite being one-upped by LA, also have a couple of reasons to smile

The hands-down star of the 2017 NBA Draft Lottery, though? Sixers representative Joel 'The Process' Embiid

Everything else was a brutal shot at the rest of the ill-fated tankers
