Being in the position to say “I told you so!” is always a predictably satisfying feeling when in the business of predicting stuff. Just ask Madam Auring.

And this part of our personality emerges like a flashy wrestler when calendar-marked sporting events are about to happen. For instance: the NBA Playoffs. Like most of you, we had picked winners and losers for the eight match-ups from both the Western and Eastern Conferences.

Now two weeks in, the games have actually been played.

A lot has happened in that span of time: some good, some awful, majority of which worth watching. Because hey, it’s the Playoffs; what did you expect?

Okay, so maybe we did expect a few things. What things? Let’s take a look back at our previews, and see which parts we got wrong and which we got right.

It has been said many times before, but in our own words, this is the beauty of sports: just when you think you know how it’s going to play out, it doesn’t. Just don’t start calling us Manang Bola now, fellas. And watch out for our preview of the second round soon!
