And just like that, #TheFightOfTheCentury is over.
Floyd Mayweather outran and outhugged outboxed Manny Pacquiao to win the superfight via unanimous decision, breakingthe hearts of millions of people around the world along the way. Take a quick look at social media sites or listen to your ranting neighbors and you'll encounter choice statements that point to a nation disappointed and utterly pissed at the outcome (e.g. "Luto," "#FlopOfTheCentury," and "This is boxing, not an effin' marathon!").

We feel you, fellow Pinoy fight fans, and like you our hearts are bleeding for Manny but, chill out! We know moving on is harder than accepting Monday na bukas, but it's certainly not impossible. Since we're on the same boat here, we've come up with a list of options that might just speed up the whole "healing process."
STAY AWAY FROM SPORTS SITES AND FORUMS

Better yet, stay away from the Internet in general. You’ll just be reminded of Pacman’s loss by news sites, trolls, and Mayweather fan-tards that their champion ducker is still the champion. It's like when you've just broken up with your GF; her scent, clothes, photos—basically anything that reminds you of her—will make letting go that much harder.

If you have the mental fortitude to stay online, then we suggest laying off the trash-talk. It's okay to proclaim support for Manny even if he lost, but don't engage the other camp in mud-slinging. Mas may bala sila ngayon. Establish your allegiance but also accept that it's their time to shine right now.
EAT YOUR HEART OUT

So you shelled out a nice chunk of cash to watch the May-Pac match live via pay-per-view at a fancy hotel, only to see Manny lose. Get over it by heading to the buffet and stuffing yourself silly with all the delish food you can fit in your stomach. If there’s alcohol available, all the better. Just don't let it get to your head!
PRETEND IT'S A BREAKUP

Cope with Pacquiao’s loss by doing whatever it is you do when you get basted by a chick. Wear black, binge-watch The Walking Dead, treat yourself to new gear, watch a funny movie, go to a firing range with your pals and pretend you’re shooting at Mayweather—whatever floats your boat. If you've been in this situation before, then you already know what to do when someone breaks our heart. Maybe you can also do the same things to help you forget about Pac-Man's loss.
ACCEPT THAT MAYWEATHER IS ACTUALLY ONE HELLUVA FIGHTER

This is one of the hardest things to do for any Pacquiao fan, but when you accept that Mayweather is indeed a champion fighter, then the road to recovery will be a lot easier. Hey, it's not as if Manny got beaten to a pulp (if you look at the two fighters, parang nagsparring lang eh). He fought toe-to-toe and had a legit chance to win against one of the greatest of all time. That speaks a lot of just how damn good Pacquiao is.
EXPECT THAT PAC-MAN WILL GET ANOTHER CHANCE

He may have lost but we have a gut feel that there will be a #PacMay2. The promoters will want to milk this match-up for more than a fight, and that means Pacquiao will have another chance to put Mayweather on his shorts. Sure, there's a "no rematch" clause, but it's just too big of a fight to end in one boring ring date.
PLAY GAMES AND KICK SOME (VIRTUAL) ASS

Some of you are angry. That's understandable. Go release some of that steam by laying the smackdown on your opponents in games like DoTA 2, Counter-Strike, Starcraft, etc. Target that player with the Mayweather_Fan handle. Believe us, you'll feel better after. (But don't do it in the real world bros, only in the virtual arena!)
TAKE SOLACE IN THE FACT THAT PAC-MAN WILL ALWAYS BE A LEGEND
He lost. Big deal. But how many has he won? How many has he floored? And how many times has he made us all happy? Mayweather's (unconvincing) win pales in comparison to what Pac-Man has done for his legacy and for the country. He's already part of history, and this loss won't do jack about it.
So Mayweather won, but he's still the butt of all jokes it seems. Take a look at all the funny #PacMay puns, memes, and whatnot that are flooding the Interwebs right now. Laugh. As they say, laughter is the best medicine.
