PBA na ulit mga kapatid!

Just three days after the FIBA Asia Championship ended (again, salamat Gilas Pilipinas!), we'll be treated to more basketball action courtesy of the country's premiere basketball league. As they say, basketball never stops! Well, at least not here in Pinas.

We're now in the third conference of the 2013 PBA seasonalso known as the Governor's Cupand, as such, imports will again be ballin' with our local players. With them in the mix, fireworks are expected to go off, setting the stage for what could be the most exciting of the three conferences in terms of the number of acrobatic plays and highlight reels.

Below is our early bird ranking of the imports who we think will make the most impact for their teams, based on credentials and stats. Kampihan na!

10. Markeith Cummings - Globalport Batang Pier

Official PBA measured height: 6'4 3/8"
2012-13 US NCAA stats:
16.5 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 1.4 apg

A legit low-post presence on the offensive end back in college, Cummings has the size and heft to make a killing in the shaded lane in the PBA.

What he can give to Globalport Batang Pier: With Japeth Aguilar (or ag-wey-ar for our slang peeps) bringing his talents to Ginebra, Globalport will be having a sizable hole in the middle. They will be able to better manage that with Cummings, who is expected to provide most of their rebounding and inside scoring.

9. Mike Singletary - Barako Bull

Official PBA measured height: 6'4 1/4"
2012-13 NBA D-League stats:
10.08 ppg, 4.88 rpg, 1.92apg, 80% FT

With stints in US college hoops, the NBA D-League, and international leagues, Singletary has enough experience to handle the jitters that comes with being a PBA first-timer. He's also an athletic forward, which bodes well for Barako Bull's aging frontcourt.
