The 2015-16 Smart Bro-Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Philippine Cup is well underway, and stories from the league have slowly permeated through local news, like that one about Manny Pacquiao's first-ever professional basket.

Purefoods' rookie coach Jason Webb getting the best of his Manila Clasico matchup against former mentor Tim Cone of Ginebra; the NLEX Road Warriors' best start in franchise history; Allein Maliksi's suspension; and injuries to Ranidel de Ocampo and Rafi Reavis were just some of the storylines in the tournament's first week.

Thompson ended up with six assists, on top of five points, three rebounds, two steals, and the highest plus-minus among all Ginebra players with +12.

(San Miguel Beermen vs. Meralco Bolts, October 28)

People who were able to watch Newsome during his Ateneo days know that this guy can flat out SOAR. Seems like last tournament's Finals MVP, SMB's Arwind Santos, wasn't one of his followers:

Throw it down, young fella! (The defending champions won, though, 101-85.)
