They say the NBA big man is extinct, but two of the best centers in the last decade prove that they—and their beef—are back.

Dwight Howard of the Washington Wizards should have thought twice before guesting on comedy series Wild 'n Out, where he got absolutely roasted in a rap battle a la FlipTop. The sketch was so hilarious that retired basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal, who had criticized Howard before, knew he had to repost it via Instagram.

The three-time Defensive Player of the Year noticed Shaq's cheeky share and lived up to his award, challenging his former tormentor to an insult-off. It didn't take long before the four-time champion and Hall of Famer dealt a killer rebuttal and made Howard regret his comment more than appearing on the MTV show.

Shaq really had to drag his fellow Inside the NBA analyst Charles Barkley into this. 

It was obvious that Howard was just messing with the original "Superman," but the latter had to go there and bring up his rings. While Shaq certainly earned those championships, his over-reliance on the argument says a lot about the need to protect his legacy. No wonder some fans deem him too petty and sensitive for a man of his size.

Still, what we would give to watch a roast battle between Shaq and Dwight.
