Based on the video below, it looks like the two got right in each other's faces during an intense staredown, which led to an all-out rambol.
"Their actions were clearly a violation of the UFC's code of conduct," says UFC Chief Legal Officer Kirk Hendrick. "We expect more from our athletes, especially these two gentlemen, who are very well-trained and highly educated professionals. There are going to be ramifications." There you go, gentlemen. Remember Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva's sapakan on the set of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3 earlier this year? This little altercation resulted to Silva injuring his hand and back and pulling out of their supposed bout at UFC 175. That's a huge payday down the drain!
Remember Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson's ugly staredown prior to their fight in 2002? Iron Mike made Lennox look really bad in the press conference, so the Brit retaliated by knocking Tyson out in the eighth round.
Renaldo Balkman's neck grab of Arwind Santos last year was totally unnecessary, since Arwind wasn't even the one who pissed Balkman off in the first place. The Puerto Rican's blind rage earned him a life-long PBA ban.
