Was that a Game 7 or what? The series we wouldn’t mind stretching up to Game 47, finally reached its climactic ending. Just in case you’ve been living under a rock or just too busy searching for Olivia Munn photos, the Miami Heat defended their title after escaping the relentless San Antonio Spurs. As the way it should be, the best team the entire regular season took home the coveted trophy. We hate to tell you ''we told you so'' but we actually told you so in our 2013 Sports Fearless Forecast! Okay, we lied. We actually love it when we’re right.

But anyway, that was a series that we would talk about for years to come. Why wouldn’t we? Like all historic match-ups, it was filled with clutch baskets, cerebral coaching, and heroic performances. It’s actually difficult to write about it after the rollercoaster of emotions that transpired in the last 72 hours. But we should give credit where credit is due.

Hats off—heck, include your pants, shirt, underwear, and necklace—to the Spurs for another fantastic season, proving to everyone that age isn’t an issue when you have chemistry, teamwork, and discipline. It most probably was the last hurrah for Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili, but we’re delighted by the fact that we witnessed their one last great stand. As for the Heat, after surviving their toughest challenge in the Big Three Era, we’re perhaps ushering the newest NBA dynasty. Their bold announcement of winning not one, not two, not three, etc. championships doesn’t sound too ludicrous after all.

By now, the stats don’t really matter. But here are some numbers to crunch in that memorable Game 7. We’re pretty sure not a single Heat fan prematurely exited the arena this time around.

6 - LeBron James’ jersey number

Okay, this isn’t actually a statistic, but it’s a mortal sin not to put LBJ in the pedestal. He was simply the defining factor in Game 7. He rolled up his sleeves, fixed his headband, chewed on his nails, and just said: Fuck this! I’m the best player in the Milky Way. He got his teammates involved, helped on the boards, and most importantly, took over in crunch time. Aside from his team-highs of 37 points, including five three-pointers, and 12 rebounds, he buried the jumper with 27 ticks left, which broke the hearts of the entire state of Texas.
