This was supposed to be Dwight Howard's reclamation season.
After disappointing campaigns with the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets (not that it was his fault, really), the three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year has come full circle in his hometown of Atlanta, hopefully to revitalize a career in decline and help the Hawks to get over the hump.
Starting the basketball year 9-2, things looked rosy; Howard and the Hawks were a match made in heaven...until the team lost 10 of its last 11 games (seven straight), including a close one against the Oklahoma City Thunder, 102-99, earlier today.
Suddenly, everything turned sour for the team that just set the franchise record for wins a couple of years ago.
Making Dwight's stat line (6 points, 7 rebounds) worse was him ending up on the wrong end of a vicious Victor Oladipo poster:
Funny thing is that, back in the day, Atlanta Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins used to embarrass opponents with the same move.
