We all have Toronto, Canada to thank for the legend that is Vinsanity.

Initially drafted by the Golden State Warriors in 1998 with the fifth overall pick, Vince Carter was immediately traded to the Toronto Raptors for his college teammate and friend, fourth overall pick Antawn Jamison. There he set various team records and won multiple accolades (Rookie of the Year, 2000 NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion, to name a couple).

He may have earned the ire of the Raptors faithful upon his departure in 2004 (traded to the New Jersey Nets), but Carter's ties with The Big Smoke are simply undeniable. He turned every Raptors game into a must-see spectacle during his seven-year tenure with the team, thanks to his array of dazzling aerial stunts and rim-rattlers that rivaled even those from legends Julius Erving, Dominique Wilkins, and even Michael Jordan.

Fast-forward to today, Carter is already in the twilight of his career. But the league has definitely not forgotten his aerial artistry. Recently, the NBA put up possibly the best mixtape it has ever done for anyone—featuring a young Vince sucking the gravity out of every building he played in as a Toronto Raptor.
