ICYMI: Hidilyn Diaz, the Philippine representative for the 2016 Rio Olympics weightlifting competition, won a silver medal early Monday morning.

Below is a video of the 25-year-old athlete’s winning performance which ended the country’s 20-year Olympic medal drought:

Diaz's victory in the women’s 53 kg. class makes her the first Filipina to capture an Olympic medal in official competition. (Bowler Adrianne Cerdeña [1988 Seoul] and Taekwondo jin Beatriz Lucero [1992 Bronze] won silver and bronze medals, respectively, while their sports were still in demonstration phase. Medals from demo sports are not included in the official tally.)

Diaz also now joins the elite ranks of boxers Onyok Velasco and the late Anthony Villanueva as only the third Philippine Olympian to have snagged a silver medal.

The Zamboanga City native lifted a total of 200 kilograms to finish second behind gold medalist Hsu Shu-Ching of Chinese Taipei, according to Diaz previously competed in the 2008 Beijing (as a wildcard entry) and 2012 London Olympics but came home empty handed on both campaigns.

Here is Diaz’s post-victory celebration with other athletes at the Olympic Village pantry where she enjoys a much-deserved slice of cheese pizza:

Congratulations, Hidilyn!
