Many have surmised that Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant is the closest thing to the G.O.A.T., Michael Jordan.

Judging from their eerily similar playing style and in-game competitive fire, these two legends are forever linked, whether they—and their respective fans—like it or not. The two also sit right next to each other in the NBA's all-time scoring list, with Kobe having passed Michael last year for the No. 3 position.


That is why when the Black Mamba's farewell tour hit Charlotte Monday night (Tuesday morning, December 29, Manila time) for his last stop in the city that actually drafted him, Hornets team owner Jordan had some emotional parting words for his "air apparent":
