The kabarangays must be feeling good about their team right now.
Remember the serenading Barangay Ginebra San Miguel diehard who came up with her own rendition of Gary Granada's "Sana Manalo Ang Ginebra" a year ago? With things looking up for her squad, she's back.
Following Ginebra's show of dominance (102-87) over the Meralco Bolts in the opening game of the ongoing PBA Governors' Cup Finals, superfan Maria Gracia Gonzales-Cadiz was so hyped that she shared a brand-new version of the hoops anthem on Facebook.
Due to the warm reception (more than a million views as of this writing), Gonzales was even invited to perform her tribute live at halftime of the second match, in front of a jam-packed Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday.
Imagine her goosebumps when this particular line became reality in the dying seconds of Game 2: "Mga miracle shots ni Tenorio, magpapasakit sa ulo ng Meralco." Tenyente made some big shots during the fourth quarter, none more important than three-point shot with barely a minute remaining to seal the deal, 86-76, for a commanding 2-0 lead in the title defense.
Nanalo na nga ulit ang Ginebra...
