We're so ready for another round of MMA weekend! Guam-based mixed martial arts promotion Pacific Xtreme Combat will have its first show of the year on Saturday, February 18, at the Ynares Sports Arena in Kapitolyo, Pasig, with a much-anticipated title fight in hand and a surprise guest who shall certainly blow fight fans away.
For starters, the main event will feature Davao's own Ale Cali, who will be standing toe to toe against Jesse Taintano of Guam for the PXC Flyweight Championship.
Ale is coming off a two-fight win streak, including a victory over Philip Parcon back in 2010. Taitano, while coming off back to back losses, is an MMA legend both in Guam and Japan.
But alas, here's where fans would get their money's worth: the "Filipino Wrecking Machine", Mark Munoz will be at PXC 29!
The UFC middleweight standout will attend the event to corner teammate Raja Shippen, who will face perennial crowd PXC drawer Harris Sarmiento in the co-main event of the evening. Both Mark and Raja train under the Reign Training Center in Orange County, California.
Penge tickets, kamo? Let's see. FHM Editors look like they're feeling rather generous. Stay tuned!
