Founded by director Chito Roño and talent Lizza Nakpil, the OG crew that became popular for their patented back flips is composed of Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Danilo Barrios, Sphencer Reyes, Michael Sesmundo, Sherwin Roux, Nikko Manalo, Cristopher Cruz, Meynard Marcellano, Carlo Quintos, Fritz Tibay, Jonathan Granaderos, Mark Pastrana, Jmarth Lalic, and Jon Paul Garcia, among others.
The Streetboys were such a hit that they even headlined their own movies, Spirit Warriors and Spirit Warriors: The Shortcut, which paved the way for some of them to carve a niche in show business as actors, TV hosts, and singers. Other members are currently based overseas, but the dance group manages to reunite every now and then, particularly on Vhong's—and Jhong's, before he pursued politics—show It's Showtime.
In time for their silver anniversary, the boys can't help but wax nostalgic over the good ol' days on Instagram. The likes of Danilo and Sphencer posted throwback photos and videos, not to mention a tribute to Direk Chito, that will delight their avid fans.
Although the best part of this ultimate trip down memory lane is a hype-inducing dance montage by the Streetboys themselves. The video, which is almost at 700 thousand views as of writing, only proves that distance won't stop the iconic group from drawing oohs and aahs with an inspiring performance.
