Mineski may only have one actual Filipino on their team right now but we still love them as the original reason to shout "Pinoy Pride" on the pro Dota circuit. Meanwhile, TNC Pro Team has been enjoying popular support lately, and remain fully homegrown. Today though, we have to choose between two favored sons as they go head to head in the upper bracket of the Changsha Major in China. The best-of-three kicks off at 1:30PM today! Here's how the tournament standings are shaping up so far:
The ultimate SEA rivalry came early, so who ya got?
Mineski has the stronger recent showing—they were the grand champions of the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018 last March 29-April 7, taking home a $370,000 payday after a 3-2 nailbiter over LGD Gaming. Meanwhile, TNC exited the same tourney after falling down to the lower bracket and failing to battle their way out of it despite topping their group in the round-robin stage.
However, at the Bucharest Major earlier in March, TNC won their last direct head-to-head at a major tournament, getting the sole win in a best-of-one fixture.
So who do you think will progress close to winning the lion’s share of this Major’s $1 million prize pool? Bet your arcanas now!
