Right behind the footsteps left behind by American Idol stalwarts Jessica Sanchez and Jasmine Trias is another woman that has made the country proud in the art of singing: 47-year-old OFW Rose Fostanes.

The Filipina caregiver who had been working abroad for 20 years now was crowned last week, January 15, as the grand champion of the reality talent search X Factor Israel. Today, Fostanes takes another step in her burgeoning career as she has finally acquired a singing license in Israel. In a report by an Israel news site, Interior Minister Gideon Sa'ar has instructed the Population, Immigration and Border Authority to give Fostanes a work permit that would allow her to work in the country as a paid singer and entertainer. Previously, Fostanes held a special caregiver visa that prohibited other forms of employment.

The performance was a little rough around the edges (with one of the judges saying that it sounded like a karaoke rendition), but her raw power managed to propel her to the Final 7 after this song.

4) Tom Jones - "I Who Have Nothing"
