If you’d have any power, what would it be? There’s a lot to choose from such as super strength, invisibility and flight to name a few.

How about super speed? Some people would rather gravitate towards this choice since it’s really one of the most practical powers out there. Case in point: You won’t ever be late and have to worry about deadlines anymore. Heck, you can even blitz your way through EDSA traffic in a flash, minus the ever-growing transportation fares.

Too bad it’s only going to be a dream for us all. Well, at least we can see how things turn out when a few fictional characters get a hold of this ability. We’ve compiled below a short list of some anime heroes who literally live life in the fast lane. Check it out:

Hiei (Yuyu Hakusho)

When it comes to fighting, Hiei has time and again demonstrated extreme efficiency with his speed. The S-Class Demon can slash opponents in the blink of an eye and here he shows off by dodging Sniper’s bullets at point blank.

Sonic (One Punch Man)

Speed-o'-Sound Sonic or just Sonic for short is one nimble ninja who has surpassed—like his name suggests—the speed of sound. Unfortunately for him, he’s still no match for Saitama who finishes him with his signature one punch move.

Ichigo (Bleach)

Ichigo really had no remarkable powers at first until he unlocked his Bankai technique. The substitute Shinigami then gained super speed with this power up which he then used to beat Sixth Division Captain Kuchiki Byakuya.

Killua (Hunter x Hunter)

He’s already fast before but apparently, he can be faster. Killua’s Kanmaru or Godspeed mode basically boosts his agility via electricity. This electrifying transformation is actually the perfect complement to his assassination techniques plus the fact that he’s also immune to electric shocks.

Minato (Naruto)

The whole ninja world doesn’t call this guy the "Yellow Flash" for nothing. The Fourth Hokage mastered the Flying Thunder God technique, a space–time ninjutsu that allows him to teleport repeatedly to take down his foes using special marked kunai knives.

Kizaru (One Piece)

Kizaru Borsalino is one of the most feared men in the world of One Piece with his rank as one of the Navy’s three elite admirals. But beyond his status, the slowpoke admiral who loves to troll has immense combat abilities due to his Pika Pika no Mi powers.

In short, he’s a logia type Devil fruit user who can fire lasers from his fingers or become the element of light itself to cover huge distances in a short amount of time. It’s no wonder that Admiral Kizaru easily manhandles the supernovas of the worst generation after giving them all a taste of his lightspeed kick.

Hit (Dragon Ball)

The legendary assassin from universe 6 matches up well to the likes of Son Goku thanks to his speed. But Hit doesn’t break the barriers of sound or light to achieve his godlike movements; He actually manipulates time with his extremely overpowered time-skip technique which is enough to thrash Goku in his strongest form.
