Forget adorable pictures of cats, mouthwatering snapshots of the spam you had for breakfast, or galleries of senti, thought-provoking...clouds. In the recently released Instagram-shaped mini-book, I SAW DA SIGN: 100 Funnny Pinoy Signages, Summit Books puts the focus squarely on the overwhelming creativity (and questionable spelling ability) of the Filipino soul when it comes to making…awesome signage.

If you haven’t noticed, the Philippines is littered with signs—business names, slogans, street warnings, jeepney-style proverbs, bus signs, random vandalisms—that draw a gamut of reactions from a head-scratching “ano raw?!” to a nod-worthy “hah. good one” to all out laughter. All worthy of social network sharing, and all worthy of  Facebook/Instagram likes.

And I SAW DA SIGN is a neat, pocket-sized compilation of some of the best of those, categorized into self-explanatory categories, “Clevertising,” “LOL On Wheels,” “ANYARE? Signs Gone Wrong,” and “ANSABE? Misspelling Bee.”

Here, how about we Instagram the book’s description of itself:

As always, we’re here to give you a quick preview of the book by picking our favorite signs featured in the book that made us go, “Onli in da pili-penis!”
