If you've ever watched one of the newer, over-the-top Fast & Furious installments and thought to yourself, "Wow, these guys would look really great as cartoon characters!" (because who hasn't, right?), then consider yourself a fortune teller. Netflix has just announced that it will bring our favorite street-racing action stars to the animated screen.

The show will be created by DreamWorks Animation, and Vin Diesel himself will come onboard as an executive producer. The show's story will see Tony Toretto (Dom's cousin) and his crew get recruited by a government agency to infiltrate a racing league/crime organization hell-bent on global domination. We're going to assume that the villain lives in an elaborate hideout guarded by lasers, and only a 10-second car can sprint past its security systems.

"The Fast & Furious franchise is a global phenomenon beloved by audiences of all ages, and we can’t wait to get started on the new animated series that will capture the action, heart, humor and global appeal of the feature films," said Netflix's VP for Kids and Family Melissa Cobb

So what do you guys reckon? Is this the show that nobody asked for, or are you excited to see how DreamWorks will expand on the franchise's legacy? Sound off below.
