Danny Rand is a master of martial arts, the living weapon who defeated the dragon Shou-Lao the Undying to gain the power of the Immortal Iron Fist. With a backstory like that, you expect him to kick-ass every chance he gets. While Finn Jones and the rest of the cast did a decent job introducing us to the characters in the last season, fans of the show wanted to see more action from the defender of K’un-L’un, which is why they’ve called in Clayton Barber, best known for his work in Black Panther and Creed, to make sure that the Living Weapon does justice to his name this time around.
“The fighting style on this season of Iron Fist is just wicked,” Finn Jones, who plays Danny Rand shares. Jessica Henwick who plays Rand’s equally kick-ass partner Colleen Wing adds, “It’s so much fun, and just badass.”
Clayton Barber brings his expertise to the Iron Fist Franchise and explains how every punch and kick must be executed to perfection, making the action the true star of the show.
The second season of Iron Fist comes after the events of The Defenders, which is why believing Matt Murdock to be dead, Danny Rand swears to take up his mantle and be the protector of the city. However, he must battle his own demons to be able to protect the ones he loves.
Iron Fist Season 2 premieres September 7, only on Netflix.
