You can now keep those blades and eyeliners. My Chemical Romance isn't reuniting (yet).

But at least one of its members, frontman Gerard Way, has something brewing for those who once loved the band's dark ways, so that you'll "carry on."

In case you didn't know, Way is also a comic book writer, and a talented one at that. And one of his works, The Umbrella Academy, illustrated by Gabriel Bá, is getting the small-screen treatment from Netflix.

The 10-episode series will get a release date set for next year and Way has no reason to say, "I'm not okay."

"I couldn't think of a better place for the vision Gabriel Bá and myself had when creating the comic, and cannot wait for people to experience that world as a live action show," he said in a press release from Universal Cable Productions and Dark Horse Entertainment, the comic's original publisher.

The Umbrella Academy tells the story of seven adopted children born with superpowers, who reassemble after their foster father mysteriously dies. The first six-issue run won the 2008 Eisner Award for Best Finite Series/Limited Series (the industry's equivalent of the Oscars).

Some of Way's other works are On Raven's Wings, and the MCR-themed The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.
