2 February 2007, Singapore – Powering through 15 cities in 24 days and travelling over 36,000 kilometres, female duo Zabrina Fernandez, 26, and Joe Jer Tee, 29, made headlines and created history – not only were they the winners of the very first season of The Amazing Race Asia, they were also the first ever all-female team to win the grand prize in the history of The Amazing Race franchise!

Viewers across Asia tuned in to the grand finale on 1 February on AXN to see the final showdown among the last three teams standing - Zabrina & Joe Jer (Malaysia); Andrew & Syeon (Malaysia); and Sandy & Francesca (Hong Kong).

In the finale, teams came full circle as they left Dubai and headed for Kuala Lumpur, also the start-city of the race, before making their way to the last destination, Kuching, Malaysia, where the girls made their final sprint to the pitstop to secure their title as winners of the first The Amazing Race Asia and bring home the USD$100,000 prize.

An emotional Zabrina said, “Winning the race is great in so many ways – who can complain about the money – and also we never in a million years thought we would be the first all-female team to win The Amazing Race. We made history!”
