With meth-making series Breaking Bad having ended, and the next season of giant anime show, Attack On Titan still a ways off, hardcore couch potatoes are probably asking, "Okay, what do I do with my life now?"

Fortunately, man-channel JackTV is here to keep your butts glued to that seat. This weekend, the action-packed cable channel brings to viewers a trifecta of exciting shows that seem like a lot of fun. From a teenager with special abilities, a crime-fighting vigilante that fancies the deadly pana, to a group of survivors in a post-apocalyptic America in permanent brownout state, the characters comprising these JackTV shows offer novel, exciting tales that would make us want to stay home on a weekend (probably.)

First among these is The Tomorrow People.

Who are "the tomorrow people?" Are these a bunch of procrastinators who put everything off for tomorrow? Hardly. The tomorrow people refer to a group of a genetically advanced race that has powers of telekinesis, teleportation, and telepathic communication.

In their spare time, the Tomorrow People also modeled for apparel brands.

Imagine a room full of Professor X-like beings, and you've got this show. In it, we follow a student who begins to question his sanity, Stephen Jameson, when he starts hearing voices and mysteriously wakes up in the strangest of places. In his search for answers, he stumbles upon the other tomorrow people who explain the mystery behind his powers. Serving as the party-poopers are a squad of paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra, who has made it their life purpose to corral the telepathic ones out of fear. As Stephen gets entangled in all the drama, he soon makes the discovery that the survival of his race depends squarely on him.

What to expect: A mutant drama that draws inspiration from Spiderman and his coming to grips with his newfound power. In this case though, no webs will be shooting out of wrists. Instead, we've got teenagers who've borrowed the best of Professor X and of that teleporting blue devil, Night Crawler.

Premiering on: October 12, Saturday at 8 PM

Next up, we have that pana-wielding rich dude vigilante Arrow, and a post-apocalpytic series with quite a novel premise. Click on the next page, fellas.
