It's for a sports show, dummies!

So, apparently the leaked direct messages between Gilbert Arenas and Mia Khalifa were all a setup.

Earlier this week, the retired NBA All-Star turned the tables on the ex-adult film actress, who is known for calling out thirsty professional athletes.

Or so it seemed.

Netizens were in the middle of heckling the "rejected" Lebanese American, when media company Complex announced its upcoming YouTube series, Out of Bounds.

The daily talk show, which "explores the cultural impact of today's biggest sports leagues, players, and headlines," will be presented by—who else—Arenas and Khalifa. Joke's on you, trolls.

"I am thankful to Complex for the opportunity and to Gilbert for being a part of it. I can't wait to offend and upset a whole new fan base." says Mia, who did a good job selling the publicity stunt with this post:

As for "Agent Zero," he "always knew that I wanted to work in sports media after retiring, and Complex just made sense. Being able to talk sports while being myself is truly rewarding."

"What does Mia Khalifa know about the games," you might ask. She is one of the most vocal D.C. sports fans online, whether it's the Washington Wizards, the Washington Capitals, or the Washington Redskins that are playing.

One thing's for sure, it will be interesting to see how a basketball legend and porn icon will argue over sports.

Good one, Complex.
