Another Marvel superhero will soon be getting the TV series treatment care of Netflix.
In a trailer posted online, Netflix revealed they will release Iron Fist starting March 17 as an addition to their ever-growing lineup of Marvel superhero series.
Mystery surrounds our protagonist Danny Rand who returns to New York to reclaim the billion dollar empire his family owned fifteen years after he was presumed dead along with his parents in a tragic accident.
In the comics, Rand is an expert martial artist who has mastered how to channel his energy into his fists.
But that’s not all to it. The great thing here is Marvel and Netflix might be trying to pull off something similar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Avengers, but on a streaming platform.
Iron Fist is actually part of The Defenders, a group of Marvel superheroes composed of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage. These superheroes already have existing Netflix shows of their own and their crossover series, The Defenders, is also coming to Netflix some time this year.
