The much-anticipated November 5 premiere of The Walking Dead couldn’t come long enough for fans of the acclaimed Robert Kirkman comic book.
The past few days have been exceptionally brutal as it nears its arrival.
Now a TV series adaptation, The Walking Dead foretells the aftermath of the zombie apocalypse and a small group of survivors, who find themselves fighting tooth and nail to make it out alive.
Yes, zombies everywhere and more – every deceased human being with a working nervous system rises as a zombie, making the undead in this particular scenario especially epidemic.
The group is led by Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), a police offer who goes to a coma only to wake up to a city ruined by a zombie infestation. He is joined by wife Lori and fellow cop Shane Walsh, among others.
With a whole city overrun by zombies and not much place left to hide, the group travels from camp to camp in search of a permanent hiding place and an eventual cure for the plague.
The first season has six one-hour episodes, kicking off Friday, November 5 with Officer Grime’s attempt to find his family and learn the new rules for survival with the help of two fellow outcasts.
The new series is even going for a TV roadblock this Friday, as the series premiere airs simultaneously on cable channels FX, Fox Asia, Star World, and Channel V all at the same time at 11pm.
A bad-ass zombie action flick that promises its fair share of gore and fatalities -just the way we like it and just the way zombie flicks are supposed to be.
Check out the trailer and see why The Walking Dead is easily the most anticipated series today.
