Ronda “Rowdy” Rousey has finally made her professional wrestling debut official and it looks like fans won’t have to wait too long before she gets a crack at a WWE match with a championship belt on the line.
Over the weekend, Ronda made her surprise appearance after the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match, where she joined the winner Asuka, Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair before pointing to the WrestleMania sign hanging above the ring.
Pulling off the classic move sends the message that a pro wrestler wants to participate in the flagship event, but this doesn’t really guarantee that they will be included in the blockbuster lineup. Ronda’s clearly a special case though since WWE big boss Vince McMahon himself confirmed in advance that we’ll be seeing more of the former UFC Bantamweight champion in WrestleMania 34 this April.
If you recall, Ronda made her first WWE appearance with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson during WrestleMania 31 more than two years ago. There, the then undefeated MMA superstar gave fans a taste of what she was cooking by making an example of WWE executives Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
