Monday is National Heroes Day, which means we've got a long weekend ahead. For everyone who's in a relationship, this also means that there's no reason not to celebrate these three stress-free days. Plus, it's also a pay day long weekend? It's the perfect time to catch up with bae.

If you're still stumped on what to do or where to go, we are here to help. We've put together some fun ways to celebrate. Check 'em out!

1)   FORGET THE GPS

Fill the gas tank and strike out on an adventure with no destination in mind. Explore places you've never been to, try new restaurants and visit friends you haven't seen in a while. Don't forget to pack extra clothes!

2)   GO SHOPPING

If your wardrobe needs an upgrade, then this date idea is perfect for you. Let her choose your clothes. Ask her what brands you can buy the best garbs from. And if your budget permits, get her something that her heart desires.

3)   A REALLY ROMANTIC CRUISE

Now's the perfect time to try something new, namely, the Manila Bay cruise and buffet package from Manilabaycruise.com. For as low as 650 pesos per person, you'll enjoy a nice Filipino dinner and the music of a live band on a ship. The ship sails parallel to the length of the SM Mall of Asia so you and the girlfriend can see for the fireworks display.

4)   ROLEPLAY AS TOURISTS

Book a room in a hotel in your city. Spend the weekend acting like vacationers, visiting museums, zoos or historic churches.

5)   JUST GO TO THE BEACH!

Go to Batangas, Baler, Pangasinan or any nearby province which has beautiful beaches. It's nice to take advantage of the offseason rates. Pray that all the other couples in the metro don't think of this plan.

6)   GO TO THE SPA

Relax. Forget about school or work. Book a couple's massage at a spa. The relaxing ambiance should set the tone for a romantic weekend.

7)   TRY TO COOK YOUR FAVORITE FANCY DISH

Instead of booking at a hotel or dining at an expensive restaurant, buy ingredients at a nearby grocery and cook a dish you’ve watched from Hell's Kitchen or something you've tasted from Nobu Hotel. Cooking together is a great bonding experience, especially if it involves a new dish that both of you don't know how to cook.
