Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza a.k.a. Yaya Dub are the hottest love team today, all thanks to the twists and turns surrounding their live rom-com story on Eat Bulaga!'s "Kalyeserye."

Sure, an atrocious Lola Nidora could bring out the worst in anyone, but the split-screen duo never failed to exemplify values that any GMRC (that's "Good Manners and Right Conduct," in case you forget) teacher would approve. And if you look closer, you'll find a few nuggets of wisdom about courtship as the story unfolds—particularly on last Friday's (September 25) episode, aka the day before Alden visited the mansion to officially make ligaw.

We've jotted down notes so you don't have to...

1)   BE PRESENTABLE

Chino shorts and tank tops may be in at the moment, but they aren't suitable OOTDs when meeting the parents. Remember: first impressions last. As Pauleen Luna said: "Dapat presentable ka at malinis tignan. Dapat ang amoy mabango (at) 'di masangsang."

2)   WAIT FOR THE GO SIGNAL

Don't make yourself feel at home unless you're asked to. Ruby Rodriguez advised: "Huwag basta papasok ng bahay nang 'di pinapapasok. Pag pinapasok, magpunas ng paa or tanggalin ang sapatos." A new pair of socks should come in handy then.

3)   BRING SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

Remember: You aren't only courting the girl of your dreams, you are also courting the entire family. So don't forget to bring something for her mom, dad, and siblings as well. Can't think of a food item to swoon the fambam with? You may find this list from Spot.ph useful.

4)   BE ON TIME

Never come in late. If the family invited you to come for lunch, be there 12 o'clock on the dot—or at least 15 minutes before call time.

5)   RESPECT EVERYONE IN THE HOUSE

Using the words "po" and "opo," as well as pagmamano, is still very important for parents. Tina Santiago-Rodriguez interviewed moms for Smart Parenting, and they actually highlighted the importance of humility and respect. Never overlook these old traditions. Give importance even to the kasambahay and kuya driver as well. Trust us, they can see the bigger picture so much clearer than CCTVs.

6)   SPOT THE PERSON WHO SEEMS HARDEST TO PLEASE—AND BEFRIEND THEM FIRST

The basic rule of multitasking applies: Start with the most difficult job first. If you can capture this person's heart, then it'll be easier capturing everyone else's.

7)   KNOW YOUR BOUNDARIES

Don't be too touchy in front of her parents. You have more chances of earning their trust if they know you have respect for their daughter.

8)   SEIZE THE DAY

"Sakmalin ang pagkakataon," Joey de Leon said. Not everyone gets a chance to be invited by the family so don't waste it. Show the family you're putting in serious effort in getting to know each of them without being too snoopy.

9)   PLAY THE WAITING GAME WELL

They say only fools rush in. Nothing good comes easy. Be patient and what you'll reap #satamangpanahon will be worth it!
