Admit it: You've always wanted to try having sex in a car. In fact, you and your girlfriend have probably even talked about it a few times.

But while the thought of getting all hot and heavy in your vehicle is tempting, car sex—real-life car sex—is not that smooth. For starters, there isn't a lot of room for your limbs, much less hers. This is especially a problem for tall girls like Sheila, 27. "For me, since uncomfortable ka because of the limited space, mahihirapan ka mag-orgasm."

Lorraine, 31, agrees. "It's cramped, and there's the risk of getting caught. I'm actually more worried about the embarrassment of getting caught in the act!"

Despite these challenges, however, both women say that car sex can still be enjoyable, with the right maneuvers. Sexologist Emily Morse lists it as a great way to liven up your sex life. "It's all about changing your view," she says. "While fumbling around in your car might take you back to your senior prom, there's something about pulling over in a secluded spot and getting it on that's exhilarating and hot."

Convinced? Once you've decided to actually do something about it, your first order of business should be your safety. "Doors must be locked and the windows must be heavily tinted," says Lorraine. The last thing you want to happen is to get mugged (or worse) mid-thrust.

Location is equally important. "The key to good car sex is stealth," adds Lorraine. "You really have to observe the spot muna to see if there are barangay tanods making rounds. If you're parked in a vacant lot, they will suspect that you're doing something talaga."

If you're thinking of doing it in a parking lot, go for outdoor more than basement. Irene, 26, encourages anyone interested in having car sex to check the car's tint from different angles. "The view from when you're standing right in front of the car can be different from when you're standing to the side."

A clean car is also a given. "Nothing breaks the mood faster than seeing an ipis, no matter how small, crawling sa dashboard," she says. "If you think you're going to get some, have your car vacuumed or at least, de-clutter."

Once you've got these basics down, you and your partner can now get on with the program, or at least, you do. "A little bit of necking, petting, and licking of the ears while rubbing the clit can really help a girl get in the mood," says Sheila.

Of course, in reality, there isn't a lot of time for foreplay. Car sex, after all, is really made for quickies, but that in itself can be considered foreplay, according to sex and relationship coach Jordan Gray. You may not be able to savor the experience, but the feeling of having a "sexual pleasure free for all" more than makes up for it. Besides, he says, quickies "are one of the best ways to get real, raw, and honest about your sexual needs."

In terms of comfort and pleasure, position definitely matters. "You and your partner should explore various ones, but I think the best position is when the girl is on top," says Lorraine. According to sex therapist Vanessa Marin, this is the most popular position for a lot of women "because it gives them complete control over the pace, angle, depth, and level of stimulation."

There are several ways you can do this. You can move over to the passenger seat and have your girl sit facing away from you in reverse cowgirl or attempt what Patricia Johnson and Mark A. Michaels, co-authors of Partners in Passion: A Guide to Great Sex, Emotional Intimacy, and Long-Term Love, call the classical Yab Yum tantric sex position. This is where your girl straddles your lap, facing you.

Not sure if you and your partner are up to full-on car sex just yet? Take things one step at a time. Leslie, 26, who hasn't tried car sex "mainly because I'm paranoid about getting caught" has admitted to being on the receiving and giving end of oral sex and loving it.

Nancy, 27, says she and her boyfriend have, at the most, gone to third base. Either way, it's not at all a bad way to pass the traffic.
