With TNC Pro Team already assured of P17-million in the ongoing The International 2017 tournament, it sure sounds like e-Sports is legit enough for them to be wearing team kits nowadays. But are the jerseys of the best Dota 2 teams in the world legit enough to wear outside of the com shop?
16/17) Invictus Gaming/iG Vitality
They prefer jackets. Auto-lose as this is a shirt competition. Also, di na uso varsity jacket.
14/15) LGD Gaming/LGD.Forever Young
They edge out fellow Chinese organization, IG, mainly thru the patriotic vibe of their red and whites cover-ups.
13) Team Empire
The bred colorway is a classic, but it can’t carry that outdated sleeve design.
Minimalism is cool, but this jersey takes it too far and just looks empty and bleak.
Another dated looking jersey somewhat redeemed by sensible logo sizing.
10) Cloud 9
It may work for Argentina, but light blue just isn’t a sporty enough color for us to consider this jersey a real contender in this setting.
9) Evil Geniuses
Basic and workable kit design, but let down by a logo and name that sounds a bit…totoy.
8) Team Secret
Secret has the cool murdered out look with zero sponsorship kalat, but then their team logo reminds us of a motel for some reason.
A lot of wasted potential due to gaudy team logos in the middle of the pack. This Peruvian team has clean colors, but the fist looks cheap. Refine the logo and this shirt has potential.
6) Virtus Pro
We dig the bear because a lot of cool sports logos have animals on them. The white trim on the collar and sleeves feels a bit awkward though so it slides down to 6th place.
5) Team Liquid
Very classy color scheme and that Monster sponsorship is legit but it drops a few places because that horse head graphic is just a bit too oversized.
Fnatic is actually a Euro team, but feel like an Asian team due to their predominantly Malaysian roster. Their kit is one of the few that actually gets worn locally, and seeing it in the flesh we can say this grey number looks like a proper sports jersey.
3) Digital Chaos
Owned by a diehard fan of the Phoenix Suns, DC’s kit has a familiar color combo that stands out from the rest of the shirts with its rich purple base. The logo works well (especially the rear treatment) with the design giving their shirt a cohesive feel that a lot of the jerseys here lack.
Making up for all the trash kits of their compatriots, Newbee enters the arena with this weird shirt-hoody that fails at being a jersey but has surprising street style potential.
1) TNC Pro Team
Number one because Pinoy Pride, of course.
