Some guys just seem to have it all—looks, money, style, and the perfect, perfect skin (which makes us hate them, right?). And here we are, wiping our mantika face with tissue or our very special handkerchief (secretly sprinkled with baby powder) every friggin' hour!

Well, we can console ourselves with the fact that when we get old, those makinis dudes and their thinner, less elastic skin will wrinkle fast while we stay young-looking. But still, "Oiliness is next to ugliness," and we must do something about it.

For this week's edition of the FHM Papogi Guide we tried some of the many oil-control products available in the market today to help you pick the best ones for your mug. Below are our favorites!

1) FACIAL WASH WITH SALICYLIC ACID

Face-washing: You're doing it wrong

No matter how many times you wash your face in a day, you'd still get oily face if you don't do it right, for example:

  • Don't wash for over two times a day, since frequent washing dries up your skin, causing it to produce more oil
  • Your soap or facial wash should have salicylic acid to melt that stubborn gunk that blocks your pores

FHM recommends: Nivea Men Oil Control Face Wash, available in local supermarkets

2) MOISTURIZER WITH SUNBLOCK

"Really? More moisture on my shiny face?" Yeah, it may look sticky at first but facial moisturizer actually tells your skin to not produce oil anymore since it's already doing the work. Also, the sun opens up your pores, so you need sunblock to go with it.

Even The Wolverine, Hugh Jackman, advises his fellow barakos to always use sun screen (he just had his skin cancer treated). Here's Pareng Hugh in the May 13 edition of Us Weekly:

"They just don’t want to put anything on their skin; it’s time consuming and 'annoying' to many guys. And they’re under the misperception that they only need to put sunscreen on when it’s really hot and sunny out. It's important to clearly communicate to men that UV rays can really damage their skin, even when it's cloudy out."
