One of the main reasons you wear a scent before you step out of the door is to impress the members of the opposite sex. For maximum effect, you might want to check the label from now on.
The folks behind Scentbird, a luxury fragrance subscription service, decided to poll 6,000 women and men about the most attractive scents.
A whopping 97 percent of women agreed that cologne appeals most to their senses. In particular, they like woodsy, aquatic, and citrusy notes. By rubbing some sort of outdoorsy cologne, you'll draw gals closer.
In addition, the researchers found that how you wear perfume is just as important as the scent you wear. Instead of spraying it down on your shirt, researchers advise to apply it on your neck, chest, back, wrist, or behind your ears.
Finally, if you're planning to buy a new scent, you might want to consider Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gio, Chanel Bleu, Davidoff Cool Water, Gucci Guilty, or Dior Sauvage as these five classics topped the survey.
