We were left impressed and quickly made space for it in our sneaker wish lists. Too bad, aside from its gorgeous looks, we were clueless on the really important stuff—local availability and its price here in the Philippines.
That was then.
Yes, fellas! We already have legit deets on how much and when it will be available for local sneakerheads to bring to their weekend pickup games. But first, another look at the shoe which the Chicago Bulls superstar guard will soon wear to break ankles in in the NBA (if he's healthy, that is):
Looks mighty fine, like Rose's mad hoops skills!
The colorway you just saw is called "Home"; another colorway called "Road" (see below) will also be initially available. If you want more choices though, adidas is expecting to unveil five more editions before the year ends.
As for the sole-tastic features the shoe has:
- adidas BOOST for better cushioning and energy return with ever step
- FITFRAME heel cage for optimum fit
- Herringbone traction pattern for added oncourt grip
- Upper with diamond pattern and faceted eyelets inspired by Chicago's architecture
If those aren't enought to convince you to snag one, maybe this will do the trick: "This is the second shoe I’ve been able to wear with Boost and the comfort and energy you get back is crazy. I’m not going to wear another basketball shoe that doesn't have Boost," the former NBA MVP says of the shoe.
And now, for what you've been waiting for: The D Rose 6 will be available locally for P8,995 starting October 15 for the Home colorway and November 5 for the Road colorway. Time to save up!
