The first day of 2018 has not been good to James Harden, as he is set to miss a couple of weeks with a hamstring strain. Good thing sneakerheads still have something to look forward to from the Houston Rockets guard.
Before that fateful match against the Los Angeles Lakers, which they eventually won (148-142), the Beard was spotted wearing the never-before-seen adidas Harden Vol. 2, which we caught a glimpse of in an online promo late December.
Unlike his first signature shoe (that needed some time before getting some love), Harden's follow-up might prove to be an instant favorite, especially with those fresh colorways and advanced tech (BOOST and Primeknit).
Writing on the Wall
It seems that John Wall's days as a sneaker free agent are over, following sightings of the Washington Wizards PG in the familiar Three Stripes—the J Wall 1, then the Crazy BYW, which has yet to be released.
Recall that his contract with adidas ended in 2015, after he reportedly declined the $7.5 million per year offer. Although the lack of a shoe deal didn't affect Wall's on-court play, which has translated to multiple All-Star and even All-NBA Third Team selections.
With a reunion imminent, expect the promising J Wall line to pick up where it left off—only two models—to the delight of his fans. Meanwhile, the Wall-Star will have less to worry about, other than leading his team to the Promised Land.
