Andy Warhol, the father of pop art, once said, "I want to die with my blue jeans on." Add some cool kicks in the mix and we'd say the same. What cool kicks? How about a pair from a collaboration between Converse and the late great artist's Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Inc.
The two have been joining forces in recent years, and 2016 is no different. To celebrate the "Year of the Monkey," Converse has picked the perfect image curated from Warhol's collection: a banana. The yellow fruit stands out behind a pure white canvas backdrop, with black laces complementing the fruit's darker bits.
The brand's star logo also gets the black-and-yellow treatment as seen in these images below:
The Chuck Taylor All Star x Andy Warhol hi-cut banana printed sneakers go for P4,950.
Meanwhile, the black version gets smattered with bananas all over its body.
The low-cut versions go for P4,450.
If you want to score a pair, the Converse "Year of the Monkey Collection" is now available in Glorietta, Greenbelt and Robinson's Galleria. For more information, head to the Converse website.
