Before we go all aboard the Nike LeBron 16 hype train, allow LeBron James' previous model to go out in style—that 24-karat maic was bound to lose its lustre.
The Swoosh brand collaborated with Dominic Chambrone, aka The Shoe Surgeon, for a one-of-one premium pair, which the latter described on Instagram as "a congratulatory gift only fit for the King himself": the Diamond and Gold LeBron 15.
Check it out:
Chambrone explained the kingly detailing on the most valuable iteration of the LeBron 15: "Handcrafted out of genuine crocodile skin, finished in 24 karat gold and elevated with authentic, solid-gold details—Riri zippers with custom zipper pulls, heel clips, lace loops and diamond-adorned shoelace aglets."
He told Sole Collector about the special sneaker—estimated to be worth over $100,000: "This was by far the most expensive and challenging shoe I've made to date. But the sweat and hours was worth every cent." If that isn't lavish enough, Chambrone threw in a custom diamond cut genuine gold necklace, adorned by a lion head pendant and handmade diamond cut link gold chain.
It would be crazy of LeBron to lace 'em up, even after the NBA reportedly announced that it will let its players wear their basketball shoe color of choice this upcoming season. Think about it: he'll actually be rocking bling on the court.
