James Harden now has a shoe of his own. Well, sort of. Unlike luminaries such as LBJ and Durant, the Houston Rockets star (and leading scorer of the season) doesn't have his own shoe named after him.
But that doesn't mean that his new kicks aren't worth flaunting.
Check out the Nike Hyperchase:
The new pair, which dropped on February 12 on Nike.com and is now available at retail stores locally, is a shiny, low-cut pair that has enough flash and sizzle worthy of a star player.
The Hyperchase is said to have been designed after fighter jets, and the shoe's striking, aerodynamic-looking silhouette seems to point at that. Of note is the slightly off-kilter Nike logo, which Nike says is positioned that way so that when a player lifts his foot as though about to attack, the logo would look straight. The cracked concrete styling on the back of the shoe paired with the icy sole on the front and the colorful tongue breathes personality—much like Harden's dynamic on-court personality does.
As for performance, the shoe highlights three essential performance elements: natural motion, forefoot lockdown and dynamic traction. The body is designed to be flexible and light with its Flywire technology. It features lightweight cushioning inside which sits lower than usual for superior stability while a low-profile Phylon midsole wraps up on the heel and lateral forefoot for lockdown fit and lateral stability.
Last but not the least, it boasts of a versatile rubber outsole so you can play with it effectively on any surface. The hexagonal pattern also provides excellent traction for multidirectional movement.
The Nike Hyperchase is now available for P5,495!
