The successor to the Energy Boost has landed–we say landed because according to adidas this latest model is inspired by none other than a space shuttle. Its main innovation is Tailored Fibre Placement–which is "precisely laid down Parley (recycled sea plastic!) fibres." In other words, it's some precision no-waste stitchwork that helps drag down the shoes' weight to a mere 295 grams.
The BOOST sole is paired with a Stretchweb rubber outsole and a heel counter that's split down the middle to provide your Achilles all the freedom it needs to move. Aesthetically, it looks less like a dedicated runner and more like an Ultraboost that's been to the gym–we are okay with this blurring of form and function.
It drops online and in select adidas stores on June 1 and can be yours for P8000. And watch out, the women's colorway below is pretty dope too and we sense a serious "buy me this naman babe" threat!
