Remember when the Lakers were the bandwagon team of Pinoys? It's been a while since we've seen their proud purple and gold on feet and we're looking forward to it. Because he's part of a new team, The King's going to need some new shoes—and as a true fan, you'll need to pick a pair up as well because team colorways are a sign of true commitment to the cause.

You can show up in a signature pair and be all "yeah, I like Bron's, or Kyrie's, or The Snake/Durant's shoes but I'm actually a...Spurs guy" and everybody would be like "lol Spurs fair enough" because actual NBA players themselves wear the sneaks of those their idols as well. When it comes to basketball sneakers, there's no place to hide what team you just bought into—so, what LA colorway would you cop?


A choice for the bold, this brings back memories of the Kobe IX, that sky-high shoe was a banger and had several notable colorways but looked especially resplendent in purple.

We'll be comparing all of these to Kobe Bryant's signatures by the way, unless you can suggest a different Laker legend with his own signature model. Gold is the bold option and it looks like it properly belongs on the Lebron 15—at least until the 16 comes out, of course.

Is this what they mean by Black Mamba? Kobe's post-retirement shoe, the Kobe A.D., has several saucy black colorways for the lowkey, but they lack that little dose of team spirit. We're sure Nike will rectify this quickly.

Kobe whichever-number-you-want Lows looked super hot in their all-white iterations, and we imagine it doing the same for the Soldier XII. Agimat what?
