Chance The Rapper will know better next time that Filipinos, particularly of the troll variety, are everywhere.
The Grammy Award-winning international recording artist dropping four songs last night was a welcome development in itself, but one turned out a bigger hit among Pinoys online, before they even got to listen to it.
Chance shared on Twitter the titles of his new releases, after which he wrote a separate tweet about the track "Wala Cam" that caught the fancy of Tagalog-speaking netizens.
The hype around the song, along with Genius' explanation that it refers to a "platform for Chicago hip-hop and R&B artists," was instantly overshadowed by posts that poked fun at the Filipino word that literally means "nothing."
